Fall 2015 Letter from the Chairman

From: LEPAA Progress and Advancement Newsletter
Issue: Fall 2015, Volume 1

Over the past 30 years, various civic committees have envisioned an advanced performance venue that serves as the forefront of an array of artistic entertainment in the Lubbock area. With profound gratitude, I can now state that LEPAA will make this vision a reality with The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences. To date, I am excited to report that total funds pledged to The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences exceeds $66 million for its construction. We owe a huge “thank you” to each of the individuals and organizations that have graciously provided a large amount of their time and have made significant financial commitments to this project. However, we still need to meet our goal of $146 million. Our past, present, and future donors have the opportunity to be groundbreakers of the long-anticipated performing arts center. With your ongoing investment of resources, you will be part of Lubbock’s cultural legacy. Only with your contribution can we achieve this dream.

This hybrid venue will provide a site for today’s local talent and touring performances, and will create a rich cultural platform for the Lubbock area. But most importantly, this venue will serve as a stage for future generations of artistic leaders and innovators through our partnership with LISD. With your donations, you will forever contribute to “igniting the arts and investing in the legacy.”

Best regards,

Tim Collins
