Melissa Pierce Joins LEPAA as Development Officer

The Lubbock Entertainment/ Performing Arts Association (LEPAA) is pleased to welcome Melissa Key Pierce as Development Officer. In her new role, Melissa will work with Kathy Gilbreath, LEPAA Fundraising Consultant, and Rob Allison, LEPAA Special Consultant, to continue raising funds and community support for The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences.

Melissa Key Pierce is a Plainview native and a Texas Tech graduate. After graduating, she moved to North Carolina where she worked for advertising and public relations firms, serving clients such as Merz Pharmaceuticals, Canandaigua Wine Company and RJ Reynolds. Since moving back to Lubbock, she has led two issue campaigns, including the one to legalize packaged alcohol sales throughout Lubbock county and a national sorghum checkoff referendum. In 2013 she was named TTU Graduate of Distinction in Agricultural Communications and in 2009 she was named Association for Women in Communications – AWC Communicator of the Year. Her most recent project was leading the 18-month effort to celebrate Covenant Health’s 100th anniversary.

Melissa has served on local non-profit boards and committees including Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts, Association for Women in Communications, Humane Society of West Texas, March of Dimes, Community Foundation of West Texas and Covenant Health.
