An $85 million dollar performing arts center could be heading to Lubbock. Yesterday the Lubbock Entertainment and Performing Arts Association (created by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce) announced plans for the project. The new center would be located at Ave. L and the Marsha Sharp Freeway.

Performing Arts Association Reveals Plans for $85 Million Venue

The stage lights are about to get a little brighter here in Lubbock. After two years of research, the Lubbock Entertainment and Performing Arts Association has conceived a plan for a 2,000 seat, state-of-the-art performing arts center in Lubbock. Tim Collins, Arts Association president, says this project is long overdue.
