Andrew Babcock is the Executive Director of Fine Arts for Lubbock Independent School District, overseeing all curricular and operational fine art disciplines including band, choir, orchestra, theater, dance, piano, mariachi, elementary music, and visual arts. Andrew is an experienced conductor, clinician, and arranger. He has spent a large portion of his professional career working with musical theater directing and conducting many shows. Andrew has arranged music and written marching drill for several bands including the 400 member Texas Tech “Goin’ Band from Raiderland.” In addition to his work with students, he has presented clinics at the Texas Music Educators Association Conference targeting technology for music educators. Worship ministry is a passion of Andrew’s and he has served several congregations as a music minister. Andrew is married to Windy Babcock who is the Choir Director at Hutchinson Middle School in Lubbock Independent School District. Their children are McKenna, Karleigh, Cameron, and Kinsley. All four attend various schools in LISD. Andrew Babcock holds a Masters of Music in Music Education from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Music from Abilene Christian University. He is a member of Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Music Administration Conference, Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas, Texas Orchestra Directors Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, Texas Educational Theater Association, and Texas Art Education Association.
