The United Family Brings Market Street Elegance to Buddy Holly Hall

LEPAA and The United Family announced a partnership to bring the elegance of Market Street to Buddy Holly Hall through an exclusive agreement. United will serve as the food and beverage provider at Buddy Holly Hall, including catering, concessions, lounges and the full-service bistro, downtown Lubbock’s newest lunch and dinner option.

“We are thrilled to have The United Family and Market Street as a partner at Buddy Holly Hall,” said Tim Collins, LEPAA board chairman. “It was important to the LEPAA board to have a food and beverage partnership with United – a local company, rooted in West Texas tradition, who gives so much back to our community in so many ways.”

Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences will offer four main concession areas, one on each level of the hall, and mobile concessions on the main floor and first balcony level. Two exclusive lounges offer private bar areas and concessions to PSL holders, founding donors and corporate donors of the hall. The bistro, located on the east side of Buddy Holly Hall, offers an outdoor dining terrace facing the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts.

“The bistro at Buddy Holly Hall will offer both indoor and outdoor terrace dining to downtown patrons, seven days a week. Led by Market Street’s Executive Chef Chris Wilson, the talented culinary team will offer unique bistro cuisine with a local flair and will service catering needs throughout the hall, all freshly prepared onsite through a state-of-the-art catering kitchen,” said Robert Taylor, president of The United Family®.

“Hundreds of illuminated light fixtures in the bistro emulate the sparkle of the night sky’s vast array of stars, giving patrons an elegant, West Texas dining experience. The overall feel of the Bistro is one of warmth, reflection and elegance in a dining space not found anywhere else in Lubbock,” said Stephen Faulk, AIA, principal at MWM Architects, Inc.

Upon completion, Buddy Holly Hall will be a 218,000 sq. ft., world-class performing arts campus, offering two theatres, a ballet school, multipurpose space for special events, outdoor performance spaces and a bistro. Partnerships at Buddy Holly Hall with Ballet Lubbock, the Lubbock Independent School District and United will bring more than 135,000 patrons to downtown Lubbock each year.
